Ukulele & Banjo-Ukulele Lessons

The ukulele (or banjolele) is the perfect beginner instrument, as it’s relatively cheap and easy to get to grips with, especially for children’s small hands. You’ll find yourself playing songs surprisingly quickly, and also learning the basics of music and musicianship.

Moreover, the uke is not just for beginners or children, but is very much a ‘proper’ instrument in its own right, which can sound amazing on a whole range of musical styles, from classical to reggae, and will reward a lifetime’s study.

It is also an excellent stepping stone if you want to move on to another instrument, especially the guitar, as the skills transfer well.

You’ll need your own ukulele (prices start from under £100) and a tuner. If you aren’t sure what to get, we’re happy to offer advice. You won’t have to buy books, as we provide free support material for the lessons, such as chord diagrams and backing tracks.
