Lesson Info

We charge £16 for a half hour. This can be paid by card, bank transfer, Apple Pay, Google Pay or cash. We don’t charge for cancellations unless they happen too regularly!

Lessons are usually 30 minutes long and are generally held in the afternoon or early evening. We don’t currently offer lessons at the weekend.

We recommend that children should be at least 8 years old before starting. Parents are welcome to sit in on their children’s lessons.

If you would like to take piano or brass exams, we can arrange to take you through your grades.

You don’t have to commit in advance to a long series of lessons – book a couple of try-outs, and then decide if our lessons are right for you.

In person sessions are best, especially for complete beginners, but if this isn’t possible we can offer Zoom or FaceTime options.

If you have lessons with us, you won’t simply be learning pieces by rote. Our aim is to produce fully rounded musicians who understand what they are playing and can apply their knowledge in a wide range of musical settings. Above all, we aim to foster a love of the instrument and music of all kinds.

You can park right outside our front door, and there’s easy, step-free access to our music room.
